how do i host?
We want to make hosting
'the big dinner party' as easy as possible! To assist you with your planning, we will send you ideas and suggestions, and for the evening itself, we will provide information and resource so you can confidently share about A Girl Called Hope to your group.
How do we take part in the auction?
Fabulous items and experiences will be auctioned on an online platform during the evening. This will be accessible via your phone, tablet or computer. We will make the auction live a few days before the event, and it will close at approximately 9.30pm on the evening of October 29th. You will be notified of the exact time before the event.
Does it need to be a dinner party?
You can create this night to best suit you. This could be by hosting a dinner, a dessert night, a wine and cheese evening, or simply have your friends around for coffee! Our heart for the evening is for you to raise funds while having an enjoyable evening with people in your community.
do i need to provide the food?
This is where you can get creative and here are a few ideas:
- Be the culinary chef for the evening!
- Host with others contributing food.
- Order take-out.
- Book a table for your group at a local restaurant.
The three key parts of
'the big dinner party' are; taking part in the online auction, inviting people to donate, and gaining partners. We would love for that to be the focus of your evening. You could even come up with a goal to reach it on the evening.
Can i do it on another date?
To be a part of the online auction, you will need hold 'the big dinner party' on the 29th October. However, get in touch if this isn't possible as we would still love you to be a part of this in some way.
will this still go ahead if alert levels change?
We will follow the governments advice and will communicate this with you if there are any changes or considerations.
